Gila Guide support
How can we help?
Send us a short description of what happened. Please do not email medication details, symptom notes, backups, PDFs, or other sensitive health information.
What to include
Include your Gila Guide app version, iOS version, and a brief description of the screen or action involved. Screenshots are helpful only when they do not contain personal health information.
Purchases
Apple processes Gila Guide Pro purchases. Use You → Restore purchases if a previous purchase is not recognized. Subscription management, cancellation, billing, and refund requests are handled through your Apple account and Apple's purchase-support tools.
Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. If you accept an eligible 7-day free trial, it becomes a paid subscription at your selected plan's price unless canceled before the trial ends. Apple recommends canceling a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends. The one-time Pro purchase does not renew and has no trial. The App Store confirms the price, eligibility, and billing terms before purchase.
Manage or cancel an Apple subscription · Request a refund from Apple. Apple determines refund eligibility. Deleting Gila Guide or its local records does not cancel a subscription.
Local records and backups
Gila Guide stores health logs locally on your iPhone and does not have an account-based server copy to recover. If you created an encrypted Gila backup, restore it from You → Encrypted backup and restore using that file and its recovery key.
Keep the backup file and its recovery key safe, separate from each other and from your iPhone. Health logs do not automatically sync and are excluded from system backup. Without a Gila backup and its key, losing your phone or deleting the app can mean losing your records. Gila Guide cannot recover a missing backup or key. Some app preferences may still be included in device backups.
Sharing a clinician PDF
Clinician PDFs are for reading and sharing with your provider; they are not encrypted Gila backups and cannot restore records in the app. PDFs are not password-protected. Review the contents and recipient before sharing, and use your provider's secure patient portal when available. Gila cannot recall or delete copies you save or share.
Optional app lock
Go to You → App lock to enable Face ID, Touch ID, or your iPhone passcode. You must authenticate to turn it on or off. Gila does not store your passcode or biometric data.
Privacy and deletion
Read the Gila Guide Privacy Policy. You can delete individual records in the app or use You → Delete all local records. Delete-all also clears drafts and open chat history, resets health-related settings, and removes scheduled and delivered reminders, temporary PDFs, and any remembered recovery key. If temporary cleanup fails, retry as directed in the app. Display units, completed onboarding, and your app-lock setting are kept. This does not cancel an App Store subscription. Files you previously exported must be deleted from their destination separately.
Medical questions
Gila Guide is a tracking tool, not a medical service. Do not use the support address for urgent or personal medical advice. Contact a healthcare professional for questions about medication, symptoms, diet, diagnosis, or treatment. If you think you may be having an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
