Gila Guide Terms of Use
How Gila Guide is intended to be used, and how these terms relate to your app license.
Operator and app license
Gila Guide is operated by Good Machines LLC. Your license to the iPhone app is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). These Gila-specific terms supplement that license with information and conditions about Gila's features and support; they do not replace it or change its software-license provisions. If there is a conflict concerning the software license, the Apple Standard EULA controls. Nothing here limits rights that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
Our Privacy Policy describes actual data handling. These terms do not grant permission to collect health records for advertising, research, or model training, or override our privacy commitments.
Who Gila is for
Gila Guide is intended for adults 18 and older in the United States. The app requires iOS 26 or later and an age range from Apple confirming adult eligibility. Gila does not ask you to enter a birth date or upload identification. Some on-device features require compatible hardware and Apple features to be available.
Tracking, not medical care
Gila is a personal recordkeeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, dose recommendations, or emergency monitoring. It does not create a clinician-patient relationship with Good Machines LLC. Contact a qualified healthcare professional about medical decisions, and use emergency services for an emergency.
Ask Gila describes your recorded history. Comparisons and possible patterns describe associations in entries, not causes or recommendations. Do not start, stop, skip, delay, or change medication, a dose, diet, or care based on the app. Goals and reminders are tracking preferences, not prescribed targets or a substitute for your care plan.
Review your records
Incomplete or incorrect entries can produce misleading summaries. Review dates, units, medication entries, Smart Entry proposals, imports, and reports before relying on them as a record or sharing them. Smart Entry requires your confirmation before saving. Reminders may be affected by device settings and availability; do not rely on Gila as your only medication reminder.
Local storage, backups, and sharing
You retain ownership of the information you enter. Gila does not maintain an account-based server copy of your health logs. The local health-record database is excluded from system backups and does not automatically sync between devices. Some preferences may be included in device backups.
To restore records after losing or replacing a phone or deleting the app, you need a previously exported encrypted Gila backup and its separate recovery key. Keep both safe and separate. We cannot recover a missing file or key.
Clinician PDFs are not password-protected and cannot restore your records. Review the selected sections, dates, notes, and recipient before sharing. Use your provider's secure portal when available. We cannot recall or delete copies you save or share. Optional app lock does not protect exported copies.
Free features and Pro purchases
Gila offers free tracking and optional Pro features. Pro is available through monthly or annual subscriptions or a one-time purchase. The App Store displays the price and applicable terms before you confirm payment. A one-time purchase does not renew and has no free trial.
Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day trial. Unless canceled before it ends, a trial becomes a paid subscription at the selected plan's price. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. Cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid a charge. Manage subscriptions through your Apple account; deleting the app or records does not cancel billing. Apple handles refund requests under its policies and applicable law.
Use You → Restore purchases if a purchase is not recognized. See purchase, cancellation, and refund help. Future price changes are subject to the App Store's applicable notice and consent processes.
Support and privacy requests
Email support@gilaguide.app for technical questions, purchase assistance, or privacy requests. Support does not provide medical advice or urgent care. Do not email health logs, clinician PDFs, backup files, recovery keys, or other sensitive health information. Our Privacy Policy explains support-email handling and retention.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will date revised terms and provide notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate channel before they take effect, obtaining agreement where required. Updates do not retroactively remove rights. Changes to data handling will be described in the Privacy Policy with any required notice or consent.
